The recent devastating hurricanes that have ripped across the Southern USA and Caribbean have left thousands of our brothers and sisters homeless, without food, without water, without electricity and without basic medical care. We believe now is the time for everyone and especially Christians to step up and do whatever is possible to alleviate the suffering and show the love of Christ.

For the month of October, we would like to encourage the church to support recovery efforts through donations of cash, which is the most urgent need for relief agencies working in the areas affected.

The time will come later for goods and volunteers and other sources of aid.

It is our hope we will be able to help in other ways as the rebuilding of lives and communities continues for perhaps decades.

We will be taking a special offering each Sunday in October to be sent to Samaritan’s Purse, the relief agency headed by Franklin Graham, which has done tremendous work around the world in alleviating for millions in the name of Jesus Christ.
